The SHIMANO SC-E5000 display combines a display screen and switch unit in a simple set-up. Here’s how to operate some of the display settings.
The SC-E5000 is a display unit which can also switch between assist modes, and is compatible with existing SHIMANO STEPS systems. The top and bottom buttons change the level of assistance, the middle button scrolls through the travelling data and the button on the front side of the display turns the light ON and OFF.
You can switch between the three levels of assistance – ECO (1 bar), NORMAL (2 bars) and HIGH (3 bars) - by using the top and bottom buttons.
There are four travelling data options, including travelling time and travelling distance, which are displayed in the bottom right of the display. Simply press the middle button to scroll through each option.
To reset your travelling distance, firstly scroll through to travelling distance (DST) on the display using the middle button. Then, press and hold the middle button until the travelling distance figure flashes, and press once more to confirm the reset.
Use the button on the front side of the SC-E5000 display to turn the light ON and OFF. This button will operate the front and rear light simultaneously.
To activate the walk assist mode, simply press and hold the bottom button on the display until the walk assist icon appears, then press and hold again to activate. To exist walk assist mode, just press the top button.
As you can see, the SC-E5000 display gives a streamlined set of options in an intuitive format. If you have further any queries or troubleshooting problems, why not contact your nearest SHIMANO Service Centre?
