One of ten Shimano riders asked to share an e-MTB route Anna Glowinski takes us on a route that explores wild, natural trails and well-maintained mountain bike tracks.
Situated on the north-west coast of Wales, surrounded by the diverse landscape of the Snowdonia National Park, Coed-y-Brenin is the UK’s first purpose-built mountain bike centre.
Talking about the weather is a British cliché but there is a local saying in North Wales that goes ‘if you can’t see Snowdon it is raining, if you can see Snowdon it is about to rain!’ Coed-y-Brenin, in the Snowdonia National Park, welcomes thousands of mountain bikers, of all abilities, every year and thankfully even in wet weather, as our Shimano rider experienced, the trails are grippy and fun.
Man-made mountain bike tracks are honed to offer great riding but beyond the trail centre there is a wealth of natural mountain biking to discover as this route reveals. So take the trail less ridden and enjoy this mash-up of riding designed by man and by nature.
An e-mountain bike gives you the power to explore new grounds - where will you take yours? Tell us at @Shimanoebike
