Truckee River Legacy Trail

The Truckee River Legacy Trail is a 6-mile, paved, Class 1 Bikeway and multi-use trail that connects downtown Truckee with the Glenshire Neighborhood. The Legacy Trail runs alongside the banks of the Truckee River and encourages alternative transporation options as well as outdoor health and recreational opportunities for residents and visitors alike.

The focal point of the trail is the Truckee River, providing cyclists and pedestrians with views of it's natural beauty and historical significance to the town of Truckee.

The Legacy Trail is an easy ride, with a slight incline as you approach the Glenshire neighborhood. Although the climb is less than 500 feet of overall elevation, you don't notice it at all on board the Shimano STEPS e-bike.

The trail is a popular destination for locals for walking, cycling, and even fishing. There are fishing points along the trail known for Wild Trout.
